“All Internet Businesses Are Not Created Equal!”

When building a successful Internet businesses to promote affiliate products and services, you must first have a solid understanding of market research and testing skills. All Internet business opportunities and affiliate programs aren’t created equal. Affiliate programs, associate programs, referral programs or partnership programs are only as good as the businesses behind them.

Make it your goal to identify the very best affiliate programs available in your niche. Research and test until you discover which businesses have the products, services, and marketing systems in place to convert the traffic you send them into profit.

Free franchise anyone? Identifying the best affiliate programs is like finding successful small business franchises, except they are absolutely free. The types of business owners that are best to target will already have designed, tested and optimized a sales & marketing system that their affiliate sales force can easily plug into and profit from. Affiliates can then concentrate on referring as many qualified prospects to the company’s web site as possible.

Affiliate Program Checklist:

Here’s a great list of criteria to consider when evaluating affiliate programs to promote in your internet business:

• Make sure the web site’s tracking software works properly. Some affiliate tracking software isn’t as accurate as you would like, so be sure that your affiliate id is tracked accurately throughout the system all the way to payment.

• Look for an automated follow-up system promoting your affiliate links. Most sales conversions are made after several e-mail follow-ups are sent. Very rarely do customers buy on the first visit to a web site, so you need smart auto-responders with follow-up sales letters going out automatically to your referrals. This may be in the form of an e-mail course, an e-zine or a newsletter that contains sales messages promoting your affiliate links. If you can access and replace the links with your own tracking urls, that’s ideal. For full control have smart auto-responders installed on your own web server and create your own series of e-mail follow-ups.

• Affiliate Marketing tools. Look for pre-tested ads and e-mail copy, affiliate banners, satisfied user testimonials that you can include in your own pre-sales copy, viral reports and e-books, etc. Wherever possible, personalize the affiliate programs’ sales & marketing materials and add extra value to the offers. You will want to do this because, in many cases, you’re competing with hundreds of other affiliates for sales.

• A strong affiliate management program is needed. This means a responsive owner or affiliate manager who is easy to contact and provides multiple forms of contact such as phone, an online support desk and e-mail. The main thing is that a quick helpful response is provided.

• Internet marketing training. If you’re counting on earning income from the sales of Affiliates that you’ve referred to a program, take into consideration that many of these people will be new to the internet marketing business. In order to succeed, they will need a good training package.

• An accurate visitor and sales tracking software system you can access online. An affiliate’s virtual office where the number of visitors, sales conversions, and statistics can be tracked to determine what traffic & advertising sources are profitable.

• Multiple forms of payment that can be accepted on a secure server. Some of the major payment forms are major Credit Cards like Visa & Mastercard, Debit Cards, eCheck, Paypal, eGold, etc. The more options offered the better. This includes you pay and not just customer payments

• Strong back-end products that you will profit from. Check that the program allows you to further profit from other products that your referral buys while at the affiliate web site. The program should give you a commission for every product bought not just the one you have referred a subscriber to. One sale should lead to another, each product creating a desire for more.

• Long-term credit for sales made after the first visit. Lifetime is best, a year is good, 6 months is a little bit too short and less than 30 days is too risky. Since most subscribers won’t buy on the first visit, if they choose to buy it will be after receiving about 6 or 7 follow-up messages.

• Pay structure that’s fair to you and to the company. How much will the merchant web site be willing to pay you? There are several ways to earn commissions such as earnings per click or payment for a visitor who follows the lead from your site to the merchant site. Or pay per lead, which requires a visitor to submit details on a lead form. You find this information by requesting it from the program manager. You should not consider programs that are under $.10 as they will not produce enough income.

• Quick payment schedule. Look to get paid as quickly as possible. Most programs pay once a month although there are several that pay bimonthly and there are even a few where you can get paid daily.

• Low commission pay out threshold. This is the amount of sales commission you must earn before being paid. It should not be too high. If you don’t get paid for a month’s commissions because of the threshold, make sure that the payment gets rolled over to the next month.

• Residual income potential. You can leverage your time and effort by selling subscription based services like membership programs that bill monthly and pay residual commissions. This way you receive a monthly income from each referral as long as they stay members. You can also create residual income by promoting multi-tier affiliate programs that pay you for recruiting or referring other webmasters as affiliates.

• Fast automated product fulfillment. The quicker the customer receives a good product when they order, the better the chances of them purchasing more products in the future.

• Great customer service. Make sure that the merchant web site has a good customer service program available for your referrals should they have comments, questions or need further assistance.

• Good reputation. Does the merchant web site have a good reputation with both their customers and affiliates? This is one of the most important factors when dealing with a merchant site. To get an idea of the reputation of the merchant company, speak to other affiliates who are part of the program. They will tell you whether they are happy with the treatment they receive.

Many good programs don’t fill all of these criteria. But, the more support they do have in place the better your chances of building a successful small business income marketing on the Internet.”

How To Get The Most From Resell Rights

Posted by allcooking on January 29, 2007

By: Karl Stadler

Copyright 2006 Karl Stadler

Think back and remember the feeling when you received resell rights to a product for the first time. It sent a tingle up your spine and you could see the millions you were going to make.

A while later after spending most of your imaginary fortune on imaginary things, and buying the dog a bone so big she would take a few lifetimes to finish it the bad old dude, reality, decided to make a comeback.

You set up your webpage and payment links, bought some PPC traffic, wrote an article or two and really put a lot into promoting your resell rights product. Why not, you get to keep all the money you make.

A couple sold but it never reached those heights you were hoping for, but at least it made you some money and that feels like you have achieved success, and indeed you have. But more importantly, you have also lined someone else’s pockets.

You get resell rights to certain products with your purchase, or from a membership site that offers resell rights products to their subscribers every month in exchange for a subscription fee.

Resell rights to products is a good idea, and yes, you can make money from it.

The coin also has another side, and it is a more golden side than the one you are used to seeing. That side belongs to the owner or author of the resell rights product.

What exactly does he get from the deal and why in the world would he want to give the resell rights to someone else and get no money for his work?

Allowing affiliates to market the product would make a lot more sense because he will still be earning money for each product that gets sold.

A thought would be that once the product has outlived its initial value, you can then sell the resell rights to others because you have already made your money. This however might implicate that a product with resell rights would be inferior to a product sold by affiliates.

This is not the truth by a long shot. There is however a difference between products with resells rights and affiliate products.

Both products are aimed at the end user, but a resell right product is more targeted toward back end sales. Its purpose is back end sales and that is why the creator of the product sells the resell rights to others.

The purpose of a resell rights ebook would be to give information or to teach something, but in the process of doing that it would promote other products to the reader to achieve what is taught in the book.

So how is this done?

You have a few products that you would like to promote. You might own them or just be an affiliate for the products. Take four or five of the products that are closely related to one another that would together achieve a common goal. Do some market research and find a profitable niche related to the products and you are ready for takeoff.

As an example let’s take two software products and two ebooks about SEO.

Write an ebook or report explaining step by step how to do on-page and off-page optimization. Explain to the reader how to maximize his rankings by using blogs and back links as well as how to optimize for the correct keywords so his site would be seen and indexed by the search engines. Four steps, four products.

Broadly explain on-page optimization so that the reader will be able to do it manually and have enough knowledge as to what it entails. Leave out the fine details of the subject.

During your explanations and tutorials as well as at the end of the book keep referring to the ebook you are promoting, and what advantages it will hold for the owner. Every time you mention the product it has a link to the product sales page, which of course is your affiliate link.

Write your entire book promoting all the products you have decided upon.

Now this does not devaluate your book, and you do give useful and valuable information to the reader even if he does not buy any of the products you are promoting. Those are there if he wants to know more, perfect the system, or make it easier and faster to get to the end result. Your book will have value in itself and you can sell it for $20, 00 with resell or master resell rights or if it is a report sell it for $9.95.

You will get some sales if you market your product well and others in turn will market and sell your product as well. But you will make the real money from the sales produced by the links throughout your book. That is why selling products with resell rights makes financial sense.

The resell rights you give to the buyer adds value to your product and will in many cases justify the price you are charging.

The dog has been good-naturedly waiting while you have been reading this article, please go get the dog a bone.

Fool Proof Way to Finding Yourself a Niche Market

Posted by allcooking on January 29, 2007

By: Harrold Swalve

Copyright 2006 Harrold Swalve

Before you can start making money you will need to find out what kind of product you would like to sell.

Investing in a market where there is either too much competition, which would not leave you enough market share, or in a market where there are simply no customers, is a mistake a lot of beginning online adventurers make. Imagine, you already have a major advantage if you would only decide to use the knowledge which you’ll learn in this article. After this article you will already know how to find a niche market with a lot of potential.

So, let’s get to it and find those niche markets!!

The greatest thing about the internet is all the information you can find, some of it you will have to pay for, which is fine since it is more than worth it, but most of it is available for free.

What you need to do first is make a list of words (from now on we refer to them as keywords).

At this stage it really doesn’t matter what kind of keywords. You need to grab a pen and paper and start writing. Write down every single word you can come up with. This might be hard when you just start and it probably feels like you can’t come up with keywords immediately. Some guidelines to get you going.

Think of the following:

- Hobbies – Work related – Health related – Cars – Sports – Daily Routine – Relationships

I suggest you take your time for your keyword list since you will be using and extending it throughout your online career.

A good suggestion as well, one which I read during my investigations, is asking all your friends and family for suggestions. The more people you ask, the more keywords you will come up with. Take a notepad with you wherever you go, it will definitely surprise you what kind of keywords you will come up with in the next few days.

Great, I’m sure you’ve been doing your homework the past few days and by now you will have a massive keyword list to work with. What comes next is, without a doubt, the most important part of your marketing tactics. In the next few lines you will find out which keywords are worth investing your time and money in.

First you go to the overture inventory tool here:

http://inventory.uk.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

We do this to find out how many searches have been conducted in the past month for any given keyword. In this search tool you can fill in every single keyword you have written on your list. The first measurement for your keywords is the amount of searches. If your main keyword has less than 20.000 searches using the overture tool, it will not be worth pursuing. It would take you too much time to get enough visitors.

What you’ve got left after this first exercise is a list of potential keywords to start building your income machine, but we only started, so lets find out what kind of other related keywords there might be to give you more opportunities. A great tool to do this and which is not known to everybody is at the following location:

http://www.kwbrowse.com

What this tool will do for you is the following, just type in one of the keywords which you’ve got left after the first exercise and http://www.kwbrowse.com will show you which keywords are complimentary to your main keyword. Let’s take a keyword like headache. With the overture tool we discovered that there where 34621 searches in the past month which at this moment makes it a keyword worth pursuing.

Now, using this same word again with http://www.kwbrowse.com it shows us other keywords which are searched for a lot. For example: pain, back pain, headache relief and a few more. Most of these words will have enough searches on their own to make them very useful for your future online presents. But it gets even better.

When you click on one of the related keywords in http://www.kwbrowse.com that will become the new main keyword and it will show you the next set of complimentary keywords.

Great tool or what?

Just take some of the keywords, go back to: http://inventory.uk.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ and research how many times people searched for that new keyword you just found.

It will take some of your valuable time to go through the complete keyword list which you created earlier, but I can assure you, this will be the most important part to succeed online. Make sure to take this seriously.

We have now established a way to find half of the information we need to find those profitable niches. I can imagine that you are eager to discover the other half. This will be revealed in my next article which will be available in about a week’s time.

How to Use Simple Tag and Ping Marketing Techniques(To Boost Your Site’s Ranking, Traffic and Sales)

Posted by allcooking on January 29, 2007

By: Titus Hoskins

Copyright 2006 Titus Hoskins

If you’re just heard the phrase ‘Tag and Ping’ and scratching your head in puzzlement – this article may be worth your time. Not that Tag and Ping is some magic marketing formula that will deliver untold riches. It won’t.

It is just one more marketing tool professional online marketers are using to give their site or sites a competitive edge over their competition. It will help put your site on the Internet map and if done right, Tag and Ping will deliver plenty of very targeted traffic to your sales pages. It will boost your rankings and increase your sales.

Tag and Ping is one of those simple, yet relatively unknown marketing techniques savvy Internet Marketers have been using and trying to keep quiet for years. To truly understand how Tag and Ping works, you will have to know some basic background information on keywords, blogging, tags, and how all these can work in sync to deliver traffic, links and sales to your site.

* What are Blogs?

Most web users will know a blog is an online journal where bloggers post their daily or hourly entries (their opinions, views, info, links) on any subject that interests them. The most popular blogging systems are Blogger.com (owned by Google) Bloglines (owned by Ask Jeeves), LiveJournal, and many professional marketers use the free WordPress software which they can host on their own websites.

Each blog has its own RSS feed – RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication although its original acronym stood for Rich Site Summary. These RSS feeds broadcasts the information in the blog posts to all concerned parties – those who have subscribed and use an RSS reader or aggregator. Or more commonly, subscribers use the FireFox browser, Google Desktop, or MyYahoo to access their favorite RSS feeds. The next version of Windows will have RSS embedded into its operating system.

* What are Tags?

Tags are really another name for keywords. Most surfers will know keywords are the exact words Internet users type into search engines to find what they’re looking on the world wide web. Tags work in the same way and are a form of social bookmarking, a way of classifying and accessing all that content in all those countless blogs.

Many major blogging directories such as Technorati use tags to serve up the information to its patrons. One simple technique to create a tag in Technocrati:

Laptops (remove asterisks in actual code)

Or if your blogging software supports categories; this will be recognized by Technorati as a tag.

* What the heck is a Ping?

A ping is a simple way to notify the different search engines to let them know that your blog has been updated. You call up or ping your blog post.

You bookmark or place an entry in any one of the countless blogging sites such as Technorati, Furl, del.icio.us, Blinklist, Flickr — you go to these sites and click your blog or tag to inform them you have updated your blog. Many blogging systems will automatically ping your blog updates.

Or you can do this manually, for example Technorati’s ping form is here: http://www.technorati.com/ping

* Simple Way to Ping

If this is still confusing to you, one simple way to ping your tags/blogs is to use a site like: http://pingomatic.com/

and it will automatically ping your blog in many of the most popular blogging services.

* Enter The Online Professional Marketers and It All Hits the Fan

Of course, online marketers have long discovered that the whole blogging system – blogs, rss, tags, pinging – is an excellent marketing vehicle. One great marketing system delivering targeted traffic to their products and services.

It really is a corruption or commercialization of blogging and this surely wasn’t the idea the original designers of blogs had in mind. But the whole blogging system is so lucrative, many professional marketers (the author is pleading the fifth!) are using blogging systems like WordPress to create mainly marketing sites that may have little resemblance to a real blog. It just uses the backbone structure of blogs, RSS, Tags to give their sites a slight competitive edge in a very competitive world.

As we saw with the ‘comment spam’ there is a great likelihood that Tag and Ping will be misused and further antagonize the blogging purists. So if you are going to use Tag and Ping make sure you’re creating valuable, usable content – then most sites will want to link to your site anyway. Content is still king no matter what tricks the professional marketers want to use. Always will be!

* Using a Simple Tag and Ping Marketing Technique With Technorati

To explain further the whole idea of Tag and Ping. Lets just walk through a marketing system you can quickly create using Technorati – one of the most popular blogging services.

First, sign your blog up with Technorati. This is quite a simple procedure. Just upload a photo, doesn’t have to be of you – your site’s logo will do. Register your profile with your 20 or so tags relating to your blog. Make sure these are keywords you’re marketing with your blog. Then you have to place the Technorati code on your blog for a link back.

Next, you must understand that Technorati creates a landing page for each tag in their system. This page is made up of four parts:

- Flickr Photos

- Recent blog posts tagged with that keyword or phrase

- Who’s Blogging About sidebar which links to any profiles of blogs that those same keywords or phrase in their profile

- Links from Furl for the same tag

So to take full advantage and to use this marketing technique you have to sign up with both Flickr and Furl. Your aim is to get your links in all four spots on this Technorati landing page for your tag or keyword. When signing up for Flickr, many marketers use their site’s name for their Flickr username – just use a dash instead of a dot in your site’s url. You can use a photo of the product they’re promoting to get a link from Flickr in the top spot on the Technorati landing page. Pick your tags and description for the product.

Set up a Furl account and download the Toolbar – bookmark a few sites to get the hang of how its done.

* Now You’re Really To Put Everything Together To Tag and Ping

1- You can start with the Flickr photos at top of the Technorati page.

Just post a photo or cover image into your Flickr account, making sure you tag it and use a catchy headline in your description. Link it to your landing or affiliate page url. Example:

Don’t buy another marketing tool until your check out this site. (remove asterisks in actual code)

2 – Next, make the first of your blog posts on your particular subject or product to your blog, making sure you tag it with your keywords and then ping Technorati. Make all your posts good content, reviews, product information or free downloads. Your entry will appear on the top of the list for that tag shortly in Technorati.

3 – Furl your blog post and your landing/affiliate page with your tags to make sure your entry/post is listed the bottom section of the Technorati page for your tag.

To work this system, add another blog post every few hours, Tag and Ping, plus Furl your posts. For better results you can sign up for countless other social bookmarking sites and bookmark your pages. Here are just a few good ones: del.icio.us, blinklist, moreover, icerocket, weblogs…

Flickr, Blog, Tag, Ping, Furl

This is just one Tag and Ping method – professional marketers have countless systems and sites working many variations on this relatively new marketing technique. But the information given above should get you started on your own Tag and Ping marketing system.

Remember, blogging and RSS are the wave of the future, make sure you’re geared up to take advantage of all they have to offer. You must have at least one blog on your site. Use WordPress if you can – Blogger will do in a pinch!

Just make sure you’re using some Ping and Tag marketing techniques to harvest all those links, traffic and sales for your site. This is one marketing technique you should now be using. Just remember to Flickr, Blog, Tag, Ping, Furl – Rinse and Repeat!

What if You Have Too Many Brands?

Posted by allcooking on January 29, 2007

By: Suzanne Falter-Barns

Copyright 2006 Suzanne Falter-Barns

We recently got this query from a reader, T. T. “Mitch” Mitchell:

“… You mention that if a person provides more than one type of product or service they should have an additional website. However, if you’re trying to brand your name or your business name, aren’t you going to dilute the process by having an additional website for it?”

That’s a question I get a lot. What do you do if you have more than one brand?

Well, I have several – Get Known Now, howmuchjoy.com, Blog Your Way to a Bestseller, and Licensing Revenue Secrets. And actually, it was only in the past few months that I could seriously see how and why I should have more than one brand. Because, like Mitch I once thought having more than one brand was a problem.

In fact, having more than one brand can be good for business.

It all boils down to life purpose. Each brand needs to be assessed in terms of how it fits into your master plan. Does it serve an integral part or is it just a gratuitous addition that is kind of fun but doesn’t seriously move the ball forward?

Ideally, your brands should intersect right at the point of your ‘Soul Purpose’. Do they all support one common goal? They may simply be different ways to support that bigger, overriding vision for your company. And cumulatively, they add up to a much bigger Web presence, which is always good.

In other words, I connect with life coaches who want tools for creative breakthroughs over at How Much Joy. But then they and their clients get to the point where they really need to get known for this dream work they’re creating. So they get directed to my Get Known Now site for this kind of marketing help. The other brands give them specific tools to use to that end.

See how it all fits together?

Are you confused about your varying brands? Here is a specific list of guidelines you can use.

If any of your brands don’t fit the following criteria, be brave and consider abandoning them. It will only strengthen your more targeted, focused work.

Do they all serve the same audience? Critical for efficiency … and serving your purpose. There’s a little give for slightly differing audiences here. For instance, Get Known Now is more likely to attract small business owners than How Much Joy. But they both serve speakers, authors and coaches.

Is there a logical sequence or relationship among the brands? With mine, people move from general dream-creating, joy work towards leading joy workshops. Then they need publicity and branding, so Get Known Now steps in to serve them.

Are the sub-brands clearly identified with the ‘big’ brand? For instance, I recently re-branded the blog associated with my Get Known Now site as …. The Get Known Now Blog! Boring? Possibly. But still far more clear. And whenever someone drops in, they are more likely to remember my brand, tell others about it, etc.. Go ahead. Be boring. Keep on restating your brand in all of your related products. I have the Get Known Now home study course, Get Known Now Blast Off group coaching, even soon a Get Known Now Unplugged podcast. (If you want to live a little, you can throw in additional qualifying words like ‘Blast Off’, for instance.)

Does the brand solve a problem that your target market has? Seems like a simple question – but it’s deceptive. Be tough with yourself and your business here. And get some outside feedback from a coach or friend if you’re not sure. Does the brand serve your purpose … honestly and truly? Think hard, because Soul Purposes tend to be broad and general. (I define them as that service or gift you’re meant to give to other people, not a specific task, like writing or coaching.) Does the brand still excite you? I’m not talking about the set of words here, but the larger job of the brand. Is it still alive for you? Sometimes we lug along a brand for years without acknowledging that its usefulness has ended. It’s really OK to abandon brands that no longer work for you; think of them as having served their purpose. Then let them go and move on. Think about your brands … even write them all down and re-evaluate them one more time. Then I invite you to take anything off of your plate that simply no longer fits the scheme of what you’re up to.

Oh yes … and did I mention you’ll probably have lots of brands in life? Go forth and conquer!

Content For Web Sites: Why Content Is King… And Where To Get Web Site Content

Posted by allcooking on January 29, 2007

By: Mike Adams

Copyright 2006 Mike Adams

Getting content for web sites is one of the challenges every webmaster faces. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Content is king.” Have you ever wondered why content is king? And have you ever wished it was easier to find content for web sites?

Content is king for one reason: People surf for content. Each of the major search engines is only successful to the extent that it helps people find the web site content they are looking for. Whichever search engine helps people find that web site content the quickest becomes the most popular. The more popular the search engine is, the more money it makes from advertising.

That last paragraph contains the secret of why content is king. Search engines make money from advertising. And they make more money from advertising if they consistently help people find the web site content they are searching for.

Now that you know why content is King, the next question is: Where can you find content for web sites?

The two easiest sources for content for web sites are article directories and private label rights.

Article directories are huge directories of articles. In most cases, you are free to publish articles from the article directories on your web site and in your newsletters or ezines. Be sure to read each article directory’s terms of service, because some have limitations. But in general, article directories exist to give writers a place to publish their articles and to give publishers a place to get content for web sites and newsletters.

Article directories like EzineArticles.com and ElectricText.com provide content for web sites on almost any topic you need. You can also find hundreds of article directories that provide content for web sites with a simple search for “article directories” in any search engine.

There are two advantages to getting your web site content from article directories rather than from private label rights articles and eBooks:

1. Articles from article directories are normally free – you do not have to pay anything for the rights to publish the articles.

2. There are tens of thousands of articles available for web site content on virtually any topic you may need.

Private label rights can be acquired in a variety of ways. In general, private label rights mean you have the right to put your name on the product as the author. You can get private label rights articles, private label rights eBooks, even private label rights software and scripts.

For web site content, you want private label rights articles and eBooks. You can get private label rights articles and eBooks from membership web sites such as Gigantic Resale Rights.com that specialize in resale rights and private label rights products. You can use the articles for web site content more directly. And you can use many of the eBooks as content for web sites by breaking them up into articles or web pages.

There are two advantages to getting your web site content from private label rights articles and eBooks rather than from article directories:

1. Generally you can put your name as the author. You can include it as regular web content or as an article with your resource box at the end. Check the terms of service of the private label rights to determine your rights in using it as web site content.

2. Generally you can also (and in some cases must) edit and modify the text to make it unique. This is especially true if you have a private label rights eBook that grants you the rights to break it up into articles or pages as content for web sites. Again, be sure to check the terms of service of the private label rights to determine your rights.

Breaking up private label rights books into articles is a great way to get content for web sites. Why? Because it takes effort. Most people will not take the time and effort. If you do, you will have more unique content on your web site. Unique content is another aspect of “content is king.”

Search engines hunger for content. With articles from article directories and private label rights articles and eBooks, you can feed that hunger with an unending supply of content for your web sites. As the search engines gobble up your web site content, it won’t take long to understand why content is king!

Trust in a Website Hosting Review? Trust to luck?

Posted by allcooking on January 29, 2007

By: Markus Steiner

Copyright 2006 Markus Steiner

The Web hosting service market continues to grow every day, while the services offered become more complex to meet the needs of all businesses. In this volatile environment, it is important to be able to quickly research your options and read a variety of Web hosting reviews before you spend your hard-earned money on the wrong provider.

There are thousands of Web hosts in existence, and many have similar packages available, so it can be tricky for a user to determine which ones are truly the best – which ones have the most accessible technical support, or the strongest security measures, and which ones are simply in the business of taking your money.

There are hundreds of so called web hosting review sites but many of them belong to hosting providers, offering biased information whereas a lot of other hosting reviews are simply advertising in disguise.

So what are the signs whereby you will recognize a good Website Hosting Directory?

A valuable Website Hosting directory was created in order to offer truly independent Website hosting reviews to help the visitors navigate through the tangled “hosting jungle” that exists today. It has to be backed by real people with real, solid technical experience and market-specific knowledge of all facets of the hosting industry.

The Website hosting reviews have to be objective and unbiased. From establishing test accounts to reading through commentary submitted by the visitors, a good directory does intense research so that any visitor can quickly and easily perform a Website hosting comparison on the site.

All of the content, including Website hosting reviews, has to be updated on a regular basis, so everybody can be sure he is getting the most up-to-date information every time. Professional directories constantly research the market for the latest trends and changes, while tracking the emergence of new providers, and users are allowed to post their own reviews and experiences to the site.

Preferable, a good Web hosting directory features a top 10 list which is hand-picked from the best hosting service companies in the market today. In addition you can also choose to view more specific lists, such as the top 10 largest Web hosts, the top ten fastest growing Web hosts, the top 10 adult hosts, the top 10 business hosts, the top 10 Windows hosts, the top 10 cheap Web hosts, and more.

Now then, Web Hosting Reviews will definitely help you decide what is the right Web Hosting company for you. But only professional and independent ones.

“Sales” are the life blood and driving force of your business and are what keep your business and employees(if you have any) going, whether your business is online or offline, moving you closer to your desired goals set for that year because without “Sales” your business would siese to exist.

This is a ‘Fact’ and anyone reading this right now knows it.

Now, for the purpose of this article, I’m going to be strictly focusing on “Online Sales” and how you can BOOST them by 50-120% in the next 7 days by simply implementing this one strategy.

YES… I’m not joking. This really can be done if you know how and are willing the learn the necessary ‘Steps’ in order to get it done.

All the TOP Internet marketers are using this strategy to build their online empires effortlessly, and you too can do the same.

Not only will this strategy build your online empire and BOOST your online sales, it is also one of the most POWERFUL traffic generating tactics on the Internet for ANY business out there.

Okay. I hope by now I have your attention.

Now, we all know that if we don’t promote our business or businesses online, whether it’s a Product, Service or Business Opportunity, and get it infront of your target market, our business would simply disappear to no existance.

Can we agree on that?

I thought so.

With that said, there are several marketing tactics that we as Internet marketers can employ online like, Articles, Pay-Per-Clicks, SEO, Blogs, eMail, Traffic Exchanges, just to name a few, to use to get our Products, Services or Business Opportunity infront of our target market in order to make a “Sale” or enroll a NEW referral.

All these methods do take time to learn and time to implement. Some do cost money and depending on your marketing budget, might not get you the desired results you were hoping for.

The good news is the strategy I’m about to share with you will take all that away, though there is always some time and learning involved, and will build you an online sales force that will start sending your website Hundreds, if not, Thousands of qualified visitors to your website, costing you Nothing, and bringing in those much needed “Sales”.

Now, if you’ve been online for any length of time then you’ve probably heard of what I’m about to mention, if not, then your in for a real treat.

Here it is… the most POWERFUL marketing tactic available online for generating Hundreds, if not, Thousands of targeted visitors to your website and BOOST your sales by up to 50-120% in the next 7 days is an…

… Affiliate Program!

For those of you who don’t know what a Affiliate Program is it’s simply a way for companies to extend and distribute their products and services through a Virtual Sales Force made up of any number of any kind of other web sites.

This is VERY powerful strategy used by almost all or anybody serious about their business and when implemented properly could send your sales through the roof.

Simply put, by having your own Affiliate Program in place it gives you the ability to put Joint Ventures together, find and recruit affiliates, or even better, SUPER Affiliates who will market your Product, Service or Business Opportunity at their expense, costing you nothing, in exchange for a cut of the profits, which is usually a percentage or set price.

Point being, the more affiliates you find and recruit, the BIGGER your Sales Force will be, sending you Hundreds, if not, Thousands of qualified targeted visitors to your website which is what you need in order to make “Sales”.

It’s not such a bad trade off, wouldn’t you agree?

Just imagine for a moment if you had just 100 affiliates working Day and Night promoting your Product, Service or Business Opportunity, sending your website traffic that you had to do nothing to get and are bringing you in those much needed Sales and/or Referrals to reach your set goals.

Can you see it?

For some of you this might be a BIG step, while for others, this just might be what you’ve be looking for to take your online business to the next level.

It’s now up to you to make a decision on whether or not this is something you want to pursue and guarantee once you get all the facts, you’ll agree.

I truly hope you benefited from this article and hope it opened your eyes to what you might want to consider for your business in the coming months ahead.

Your Internet Business and the Law

Posted by allcooking on January 29, 2007

With the number of internet businesses being established on the internet setting new records seemingly every business day, it is no surprise that a growing number of these end with serious business and legal difficulties. A common excuse appears to be a claim of “ignorance to the law” or the fact that many are simply unaware of the existing regulations and laws. Sadly, as you might expect, ignorance is not a recognized defense for the legal requirements.

To protect yourself and your investment, it is strongly recommended that you follow a few basic practices and include legal notices in the content of your website. Generally, there are a few general business notices and a relatively short list of legal notices that if included, will provide basic coverage and notice to outside parties seeking to validate (or dispute) the credibility and legal sufficiency of your website activities.

There are a number of ways to obtain the notices and language needed for these purposes. Certainly, obtaining legal advice is a preferred method,if considered necessary. Without going to this expense, many web entrepreneurs are comfortable by performing a canvass of a given website’s competitors. Staying close to the coverage and language of other websites who generally sell the same or similar supplies and services of your site can be adequate. These should be altered and customized as appropriate to fit your specific circumstances (to avoid potential legal issues of copyright infringment). Of late, there are a number of internet websites who provide notice wording and online notice language generation (some free of charge, some on a fee basis). And of course there are software products available for this purpose as well.

As a basic primer into the notices needed, below is a representative sampling of those needed:

GENERAL CATEGORY NOTICES:

CONTACT INFORMATION/CONTACT US: Websites should contain a webpage which identifies various means to contact the company. These include valid email addresses and phone numbers. The new CAN/SPAM requirements stipulate that a full physical address be included as well.

ABOUT/ABOUT US: Websites should contain a webpage which identifies the general company information, including ownership information, historic perspective of the company, etc.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS/FAQ’s: Websites should contain a webpage which contains a listing of the most commonly asked questions regarding interacting with the given business. This page is entirely optionally, but can substantially reduce numbers of inquiries and questions by making this information readily available to potential customers in advance.

NOTICES OF A LEGAL NATURE:

EARNINGS DISCLAIMER: Many sales and promotional marketing websites contain specific claims of revenues achieved by owners, affiliates, or others using their products. For these websites, it is recommended that they contain a webpage with statements concerning potential earnings potential and the lack of “guarantees” regarding the amounts used. Any amounts used should be disclaimed as “results achieved by others – and in no way a guarantee that everyone will have similar results”, or words to that effect.

DISCLAIMER ON USE OF DATA: Websites should contain a webpage which contains specifics regarding the limitations and liabilities for the use, sharing, or redistribution of data and information contained on your website. Also, for website that include information which may be downloaded by clients, disclaimers regarding limitations of your liability for viruses, spyware, worms, etc., or other calamities incurred during the download are appropriate.

PRIVACY: With the continuing SPAM problems, it is advisable that websites include a webpage which advises visitor’s regarding the company’s policy for safeguarding any data received from them. This should include the nature of the data gathering, purpose, intended use, disposition, and sharing of any data information obtained. And by all means, ALWAYS follow the stated policy. Website owners should resist the temptation to sell visitor information when the sharing of this data was not properly disclosed at the time it was obtained.

COPYRIGHT: Websites should contain a webpage which contains copyright specifics. This disclaimer is required to alert others regarding the legal standing of your products and services.

Legal Notice Support: To avoid even the potential of legal problems, anyone considering doing business on the internet is required to be fully aware of the rules, regulations, and laws which website owners are required to abide by. As a resource for conducting business within the United States, owners should review basic information at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) website. For the latest FTC coverage, visit the following website: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/dotcom/index.html

All website owners must be aware of the laws regarding unwanted email (SPAM). Current requirements mandate the inclusion of a physical address and an “opt-out” method for all email marketing campaigns. Check on all the latest SPAM regulations at the FTC website: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/edcams/spam/rules.htm

The requirements are not complicated or impossible to follow. Many agree, they are straightforward, but even so, being aware of the rules and laws, knowing where to go and what the “basic rules are” is absolutely critical. My disclaimer here is: “in no way are these tips and ideas intended to be a comprehensive all-inclusive listing of the legal and business notices needed to run an internet business. These are representative examples only. Legal counsel should be used when in doubt”. However, this article is intended to raise your awareness to the issues and prompt you to appropriate action.

How To Get Your Customers To Fall In Love With Your Products And Services

Posted by allcooking on January 29, 2007

By: Dan Lok

Copyright 2006 Quick Turn Marketing International, Ltd.

My hair grows so damn fast. I have to get a hair cut every 3 weeks. Every time I need a haircut I go to Peter in downtown, Vancouver.

You know… Peter actually worked in New York 10 years ago. I guess you could say he earned his chops in New York. And he’s cut hair for many celebrities, including Jim Carrey, etc.

Then he moved to Vancouver and opened his own salon.

Well, if Pete is good enough for Jim Carrey then he’s good enough for Dan Lok.

I’ve been going there for 8 years now.

Talk about customer loyalty!

Yeah… so I’m sure you are asking why am I so damn loyal? Right?

What makes Pete different than the other hairdressers? Why do I go back to him again and again?

Well I’ll tell you. Pete works at it. He builds loyal customers in each interaction and builds them into every haircut he produces. He didn’t attract the stars simply because he cuts hair well (though he does). He also offers exceptional customer service.

And I have to tell you, even if Pete’s haircutting ability wasn’t 110%, I’d probably still go back. Why? Customer service. Commitment. Quality.

So ask yourself, how do YOU build loyal customers?

The best way to build loyal customers is by using the loyalty ladder concept. I want you to picture an ordinary ladder.

Now consider each rung of the ladder. Each “rung” is a “stage” of loyalty a customer may have. There are many different stages of loyalty customers demonstrate at each rung of the ladder:

* Raving Fan

* Devotee

* Member

* Customer

* Shopper

* Prospect

* Suspect

Let’s describe each of these in more detail.

Suspect

The suspect is the lowest rung on your ladder, when a customer starts out on your loyalty ladder. This is when customer’s are at the very bottom of your ladder. These are people who may or may not want or need what it is you sell. They may not have any money. They are simply people who are not buying.

Prospect

Prospects are suspects who have taken some sort of action like subscribing to your newsletter, giving you their email addresses or those who have asked you for some sort of free information. They are people who may turn into active customers, but aren’t there yet.

Customer

A customer is anyone who has actually spent money with you. You have to differentiate between your prospects and your customers. This is one of the reasons it is so damn important you segment your lists. You don’t want to have everyone on ONE BIG list.

At the very least, you should have a prospect list and customer list. You should treat your prospects and customers very differently. You should always give your customers more attention. Give them a better deal than everyone else. Why? They are already paying you for your products and services. Prospects are important, but customers are even more important.

Member

A member is someone who buys from you more than once. These are customers that now trust you. They feel they belong with you in some way. Now listen up. Customers who make two purchases are 10 times more likely to make more than someone who makes only one purchase with you. So anyone who is a member deserves special attention, because if they buy twice, they are likely to buy again.

Devotee

What’s the difference between a devotee and a member? A devotee is someone who not only buys from you, but tells other people about you. They send you referrals. They promote you actively. They are happy to be your free sales force because they get so much value from you.

Raving Fan

The next stage in the ladder is Raving Fans. Usually only 1% to 5% of your customers become Raving Fans. They’re one of your most valuable assets. They pretty much own everything you have. And, whatever new products and service you come up with, they will buy without blinking an eye.

The Raving Fan will stick with you for years as long as you don’t screw up in a major way.

There’s a very strong trust and bond with you and the Raving Fans. They trust you 100%. They want to see you succeed. They want to see you do well. If a devotee is someone who sells for you, a Raving Fan is someone who can’t STOP selling for you. Raving Fans tell everyone about how fantastic you are. They talk about your company. They love you.

These days it’s more expensive than ever to get a new customer. Most businesses in fact are acquiring their customers at a loss or break-even point. That means you have to get your customers to come back to you and buy again and again.

Why? That customer isn’t simply profitable to you. They are your most important resource. What you want, what you need is as many raving fans as you can get.

You will succeed when you sort your prospects from suspects, move people up from prospects to customers, from customers to raving fans.

You need to have a marketing system that automatically moves people up the loyalty ladder as quickly as humanly possible.

Very soon, it’ll be like me and Pete. I am one of Pete’s Raving Fans. I send him clients. I sell for him WITHOUT him asking me to it. I write about him in my article! I only go to him and nobody else. And I am thrilled to show up every month, 12 times a year to give him money. And I’ll keep going to him unless he retires from the business. That could be another 10 to 20 years.

You see how much a Raving Fan like me is worth to Pete’s business?

Sincerely,

Dan Lok
